Baptism is a joyful celebration of your child’s entrance into the family of God and our parish community. Here’s how to prepare for this special sacrament:
Step 1: Reserve Your Date
Call the Parish Office at 718-979-4227, ext. 207 to choose a baptism date that works for your family.
Step 2: Attend a Baptism Class
Time: 11:00 am in the Church
Dates: Every first Sunday, every other month (Jan., Mar., May, July, Sept., Nov.)
These classes help parents and godparents understand the meaning of Baptism and prepare to guide your child in their faith journey.
Step 3: Celebrate the Baptism
Time: 1:15 pm in the Church
Dates: Every third Sunday, except Easter, Christmas, and Father’s Day
Join us as we welcome your child into the parish family and celebrate God’s gift of new life.
Sponsors must be at least 14 years old and confirmed. Sponsor forms must be completed by the godparent and taken to the church where they regularly attend Sunday Mass. Sponsors should be registered parishioners and faithfully attend Mass each week.
Forms must be signed by a priest and sealed with the parish seal.
